How To Prep For Your First Facial Appointment At Paradise Med Spa

Booking your first facial is exciting but if you’re not sure how to prepare, you’re not alone. Proper prep can make a big difference in how your skin responds and how effective your treatment is. Whether you’re looking for glow, hydration, or acne care, here’s everything you need to know before your first facial appointment. We recommend beginning with a complimentary consultation with one of our aestheticians. During this appointment we can gather the information we need to deliver desired results. We are here to listen and guide you in the right direction. In preparation we recommend bringing in your current skincare routine and any medication your currently using. Our goal is to acknowledge any and all skin concerns such as dryness, acne, inflammation, redness, hyper/hypo pigmentation etc. Allow us help you take the stress off!

What to do before your facial: 3-7 days prior to your facial appointment, pause any activ

e skincare ingredients such as retinols, or acids such as AHAs, BHAs etc. Avoid waxing or threading, these cause the skin to become susceptible to more sensitivity and prone to irritation. Lastly stick to your basics; cleanser, moisturizer and SPF is all you need!

48 hours prior to your appointment: Hydrate and avoid excess sun exposure. Drinking plenty of water prior to your appointment helps your skin look plump and healthy.

The day of your facial: If possible, arrive with no makeup on however we will happily remove it for you. We will again assess your goals and skincare concerns and begin with treatment!
